Batibo: two kids die under mysterious circumstances

The family of two kids (all girls) in Batibo, Cameroon’s North West region is still mourning after it lost two kids on Wednesday morning.

Sources say the children, who are below ten, died mysteriously. “None of them fell ill or showed any signs of ill health,” said a source.

The father the victims is said to have gone to the farm while his wife was in another farm close to the house.

“When he was returning, he heard a child scream. On reaching the house, the child had defecated on her body. They rushed her to the Batibo district hospital where she gave up the ghost” a source close to the family tells us.

That was just the start of what was to be a very heartbreaking day for the couple and the community as a whole.

Our source adds that “on returning from the hospital, they met neighbors crying as a second child to the same couple had passed away.”

“There was no headache no fever. They just died… We don’t know if it’s witchcraft” he laments.
