Bishop Andrew Nkea of Mamfe diocese calls on elected representative in the South West running away from the crisis in their region to resign.
The bishop speaking in Buea at the weekend indicated that this type of officials have failed in their responsibility to protect the local population that saw in them some qualities of braveness and leadership before voting them into office.
In his capacity as the chairperson of the south west regional post dialogue sensitization caravan, the chief shepherd of Mamfe diocese challenged run away elective officials not to border moving around to preach what was discussed at the major national dialogue because the people will not listen to them.
“…this caravan is for people oriented. Those who are elected by the population. If they elect you to represent them and you are disconnected to them, then you don’t have any reason to be representing them”.
He cautions that the caravan to sensitize the population should not be politicized.
