BOBA unveils electoral rules ahead of Elective General Assembly

The Bali Old Boys Association, an alumni association of Cameroon Protest College CPC Bali, known by its acronym BOBA, has set out the rules for the upcoming national elections of the organization.

According to a press release from the general president , Raymond Dinga Gwamnyala, the elective general assembly shall hold on August 13, 2022 in Yaounde.



The elections are limited to accredited members of the alumni group.

“However, according to article 7(5&6) of the constitution only accredited
delegates: chapter president, secretary, financial secretary, treasurer and 1 member per 50-chapter members, are entitled to vote in the election to NEC”, the press release reads in part.


while calling on all active chapters to submit a list of registered
members to the national secretary, the general president said the list should indicate members of the executive
and the various positions they occupy.

Announcing an enlarged meeting involving all the branches on the 12 of August in on Yaounde ahead of the assembly,the president made known an an electoral committee which shall oversee elections.

“An electoral committee of four persons has been put in place headed by Professor Sammy Beban Chumbow with the following member: Prof Edward Lekunze, Prof Vincent Titanji and
Prof Cornelius Lambi”, the general president said, adding that,”These persons will work with various branch presidents for the smooth organization of the elections”.



Emphasizing on general mobilisation at all levels,members are also reminded of the dressing code which according to the association’s norms remain blazers and those without
blazers,the president said “can put on: navy blue jackets, white shirts, OX blood ties/scarves or white pants or
skirts”.
