Body of Journalist Abandoned at Jamot Hospital in Yaounde

The body of Joseph Djemo, Journalist and publisher of “Crises et Solutions” newspaper has been abandoned in a corridor at Jamot Hospital in Yaounde.

He died on the 12th of May 2020 and since then there has been confusion if he died of coronavirus or not.

The family is reported to have demanded the corpse for burial but the hospital has turned down the proposal and has equally refused to deposit the body in the mortuary.

The Cameroon trade union of journalists, SNJC has condemned the act by the hospital calling for the burial of the journalist.

In a release, Charles Nforgang, SNJC national communication secretary says even at death journalists demand respect.
