Bomb Scare at CCC Microfinance Institution in Bamenda Averted

A potential disaster was narrowly avoided today at CCC Microfinance Institution, located at Sonac Street Junction in Bamenda, after a suspicious bag was discovered, triggering a bomb scare.

Local residents reported seeing the unattended bag and immediately reached out to the authorities. “We came in this morning and discovered the bag. We were all scared that it was a bomb, so we alerted the security,” said an eyewitness who was among the first to notice the suspicious object.

Responding swiftly, security forces cordoned off the area, ensuring the safety of the public. Bomb disposal experts were called to assess the situation. In a controlled operation, the experts safely detonated the device without any injuries or property damage.

This incident marks the third time an explosive device has been planted around the T Junction in Bamenda, raising concerns among residents about the increasing insecurity in the region. Many are now questioning the motives behind these actions, particularly the targeting of civilian areas.
