In Ngaoundere, the Cameroonian capital of the Adamawa province, another structure has collapsed.
This morning, Tuesday, July 25, in Baladji, in the Côte d’Azur vicinity, a three-storey structure fell.
A family that resided in the building has been trapped inside, according to information received by MMI. Sources say, “The family is comprised of a mom and her three children.”
Rescue efforts are underway by firefighters who arrived on the scene shortly after the incident. “It happened this morning at about 8:00 am, many here are wondering and worried about those trapped in the building,” a witness told MMI.
Officials in Nganoundéré arrived the scene, notably the Regional Delegate for National Security of Adamawa, the Mayor of the city of Nganoundere, and the Senior Divisional Officer of Vina.
This is coming two days after a four-storey building collapsed in Douala, killing close to 40 people.
This is a developing story!
