A device has been detonated at the Biaka Junction in Buea, South West Region of Cameroon, barely few minutes after the departure of the athletes.
Officials have not stated how the device got there but, a source told MMI that “it was set up by suspected Separatist fighters.”
“We are now frightened, but the race is still ongoing,” added our source.
Separatists had declared a lockdown ahead of today’s Mountain Race.
