Festus Fru fondly called Maaboog, is a Buea based philanthropist, Craftsman and carpenter.
He has been offering special training opportunities in crafts and designs to young internally displaced persons.
One of those he recruited for training two years ago, is Nzakwa Franklin, an internally displaced 16-year-old from Jeyu in Ako subdivision of Donga Mantung division in the restive North West region.
Before being offered an opportunity by Festus Fru, Franklin was out of school for four years due to the armed separatists conflict in the two English-speaking regions of Cameroon.
Two years after, Franklin has acquired skills needed for his empowerment.
Franklin can now design and craft beds, chairs, tables cupboards and many others.
“I am happy that I have learnt all these,” Franklin said .
Maaboog says it is his own way of contributing to healing the wounds of the nation.
