Denizens of Buea have complained against Camwater’s lackluster in distributing water to the population despite amounts being paid in on daily basis.
Workers at Camwater’s office in Buea, locals say, have shown bad faith by not dealing appropriately with citizen’s demands.
Many Buea dwellers say they have paid in their monies to the Buea Head Office for Water meters to be installed in their homes. However, the authorities at the Head Office keep giving in several excuses.
“Everyday when we go to their office they will tell us that they are still waiting for material from Douala” a complainant told us.
Others reveal that they had paid in money to Camwater’s head office more than 6 months ago, yet nothing is done.
Regular water supply also remains a great challenge, as many in the town, predominantly students, have to confirm to a water rationing schedule, impeding their daily activities.
