February 9 Elections: Cabral Libii’s Party Reaping Big From MRC Boycott

With vote counting ongoing in different municipalities and constituencies across Cameroon, trends from the Centre and Littoral regions place the CPNR leading all opposition political parties the.

Trends place the Cameroon Party For National Reconciliation of Cabral Libii, the highest benefactor of the MRC boycott neck to neck with the CPDM party in Douala 5, 3 and 2 subdivisions, pushing the SDF to the third position.

The CPNR of Cabral libii is placed winner in all the legislative and municipal seats of the Nyong and Kelle Division, centre region, beating the CPDM.

Like the SDF, the CPNR party had earlier threatened to boycott the elections but ended up taking part.

The only opposition party that has succeeded to share the restive south west region with the ruling CPDM party, is the Cameroon Democratic Party CDP of Dr Bens.

The CDP has been placed winner of the Mamfe and Eyumojock councils in the Manyu Division.
