By Washira Helene

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the 2023 CAF Awards ceremony will be held on December 11, 2023, in Morocco. The awards ceremony will honor the best African players and coaches of the year.

One of the most anticipated awards of the night is the African Ballon d’Or, which is given to the best African player in the world. The 2023 African Ballon d’Or race is shaping up to be a close one, but Victor Osimhen is the favorite to win.

Osimhen has had a stellar season for Napoli, scoring 26 goals in Serie A. He also helped Napoli win the Coppa Italia and reach the UEFA Europa League final. Osimhen’s performances have earned him praise from all over the world, and he is now considered to be one of the best strikers in the world.

Other players who are in contention for the African Ballon d’Or include Riyad Mahrez, Sadio Mane, and Mohamed Salah. However, Osimhen’s consistency and his ability to score goals in big games make him the favorite to win the award.

The 2023 CAF Awards ceremony will be a star-studded event, and it will be interesting to see who takes home the African Ballon d’Or. However, with Osimhen in such good form, it would be a surprise if he didn’t win the award.
