The Buea Chapter of the Cameroon Association of English-Speaking Journalists is set to elect a new leader today. This is coming as the mandate of the current executive has expired.
As of now, one person has been projected to lead the association, as there are no challenges so far. He is Andrew Nsoseka, desk editor of The Post Newspaper.
If elected, he will take over from Isidore Abah, whose mandate expired. Nsoseka, who is also CEO of Atlantic Chronicles, has expressed optimism about revamping the mother chapter of the association, which is Buea.The ongoing elections are being supervised by a representative of the National Bureau. It is a list system.
So Andrew Nsoseka has as Secretary General Shing Timothy, Southwest Bureau Chief of the Guardian Post. Vice President is Joyce Mbong, station manager of the Catholic Divine Mercy Radio. Albert Njie Mbonde, Political Desk Editor at the National Station of CRTV, is the lone adviser. Journalists are set to decide tonight.
