Cameroon: Arrested SCSI Volunteers to Face Rebellion charges

Six volunteers of the Survie Cameroon Survival Initiative, SCSI have been charged with rebellion.

Arrested yesterday Monday 11th May 2020 for distributing face masks and hand sanitizers to people at Mokolo Market in Yaounde, they were questioned at the office of the prosecutor Tuesday May 12th.

Survie Cameroon Survival Initiative has condemned that describing it as mere intimidation. They have qualified the charge as politically motivated given that SCSI has been put in place by professor Maurice Kamto, leader of Cameroon Renaissance Movement political party.
