Renowned Cameroonian actor Mitoumba Ebenezer, who has championed a popular campaign against ‘poor telecom services’ in Cameroon wants the boycott of MTN and Orange to be taken to another level.
In a recent post on his social media platforms, he called for the boycott of MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money services.
He urged Cameroonians to join him in the virtual protest on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023.
“Orange and MTN have refused to give us a listening ear. Empty your mobile money accounts and they would be forced to listen,” Mitoumba wrote on his Facebook page.
The move according to him is to demand for “better call rates, better internet connection rates, for a better quality of service, for lower withdrawal and deposit fees, and a better network.”
He also called for the reinforcement of the airplane mode campaign as from Monday between 8:00AM and 12:00PM.
