Two security agents are receiving medical care after sustaining injuries in Ndop, North West Region of Cameroon. Reports say they were wounded in an attack on a military convoy presumably by separatist fighters along the Ndop-Sabga road yesterday.



The North West Region has recorded 11 cases of the new COVID-19 Delta variant. Officials at the regional hospital say the cases were discovered recently, and are urging locals to get vaccinated as part of safety measures.



After a period of uncertainty, it has been resolved that the 2021/2022 academic year resumes on Monday, September 6. The decision was announced in a joint release by the Minister’s of Basic and Secondary Education.




Residents of Bamenda II in Cameroon’s North West Region have expressed doubts over the council’s promise to provide them with water and street lights. The promises made by Mayor Chenwi Peter at the council session, they say, are too lofty and unrealistic.




Human Rights lawyer, Barrister Nkongho Felix Agbor has initiated an appeal to seek funds for a visually impaired student. The fund, the lawyer says, is to further the student’s education after he had eight papers at the just ended General Certificate of Education examination.




Many have expressed dismay after a police officer was caught on camera brawling with a civilian in Douala today. The fight was separated by a crowd but the cause remains unknown.




The first ever female Registrar of the University of Buea has taken over office. Prof. Bechem née Eneke Tambe was installed alongside other recently appointed officials of the institution.
