Cameroon: Ex-footballer Emmanuel Loga quits the scene

Cameroon’s football family has been hit by yet another death. Emmanuel Loga died in the early hours of Sunday, January 24th, 2021 at the Laquintinie Hospital in Douala.

Emmanuel Loga is said to have fallen sick two weeks ago. Before his death, he was the president of the Littoral football regional league.

The former footballer has been in football management for close to two decades.

Emmanuel Loga died on January 24th, 2021, a day Cameroon intermediate Lions are due to play a crucial African Nations Championship -CHAN last group stage against Burkina Faso.

His death a few hours to the match scheduled to start at 8:00pm at Amadou Ahidjo stadium has been given varied interpretations.

To some, it’s a sign that Cameroon will be eliminated today.
