Cameroon: FECAFOOT president, Samuel Eto’o loses father

The president of the Cameroon Football Federation, (FECAFOOT) Samuel Eto’o Fils has lost his biological father, David Eto’o.

The dead of the former Cameroonian footballer’s father was announced on Monday, April 17, 2023.

It is reported that David Eto’o died following a brief illness at the Yaounde Regional Hospital.

In an interview in 2019, the football legend said the following concerning his father:

You always held my hands, to show me the path to follow. You made me the man I am today, by transmitting to me values ​​of love, sharing and hard work.

“When we are younger, our parents guide us, protect us and give us everything they hold dear, so when we grow up we never miss an opportunity to return the favor to them. We simply say a simple ‘I love you’.

Samuel Eto’o is yet to react to publicly comment on the news.
