Cameroon female basketball team qualifies for quarterfinals of Afro Women’s Tournament

Cameroon’s female basketball team has sparked a wave of joy and excitement as they secure a spot in the quarter-finals of the highly anticipated Afro Basket Women competition, taking place in Rwanda.

In its 28th edition, the highly anticipated competition, which commenced on July 28, 2023, is currently underway and set to continue until August 5th. A total of 12 nations have enthusiastically joined the event, adding to the excitement and fervor surrounding the competition.

Cameroon, after a nail-biting victory over Mozambique (55-53) on the opening day, has now clinched another triumph (70-50) against Guinea, solidifying their position at the top of Group B. This crucial win guarantees their spot in the quarterfinals, marking a significant milestone for the team.
