At least five persons have reportedly died in an accident along the Mokolo-Maroua highway In the Far North region of the country.
The incident is said to have occurred after a truck missed its track before crumbling on the roadside.
Although the truck driver survived, five other persons who were in the truck, including the Conveyor, Motorboy, and owners of goods the truck was transporting succumbed to the ultimate call.
Reports say the truck was transporting fuel from Mokolo in the Mayo Tsanaga Division in the Far North to Maroua, the regional capital.
Witnesses have blamed the accident on the depleting nature of the 75-kilometer highway linking Mokolo and Maroua.
