Cameroon Grabs 2019 AFCON Ticket To Egypt.

The indomitable Lions of Cameroon have been counted amongst the twenty four African Football power houses for the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The lions grabbed their qualification ticket at the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde Saturday March 23rd by thrashing Comoros three goals to zero.

Eric Choupou Mouting, Christian Mbagzogog and Njie Clinton scored a goal each to secure the victory.
Cameroon qualified in the group with a total of 11 points.

In a post match press conference, Clarence Seedorf, Head Coach of the Cameroon National Football Team expressed gratitude to the players and other technical staff as well as the Cameroonian public for their support to secure victory.

The coach maintains that the lions will double effort for a better performance in Egypt when the AFCON kicks off in the month of June this year.

To most football fans in Cameroon, the qualification of the lions has partly annulled the pains of the withdrawal of Cameroon’s AFCON hosting rights in Cameroon for 2019 by the Confederation of African Football–CAF.

Despite the qualification of the lions, football analysts think a lot of work needs to be done for the team to meet the standard of great teams the lions will be meeting in Egypt.
