Cameroon harvests first medal at 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games

Cameroon, through Olympic Athlete, Emmanuel Eseme obtained its first gold medal at the ongoing Islamic Solidarity Games.

The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games started on August 9, 2022 in Konya, Turkey.

Emmanuel Eseme, yesterday August 11, 2022, beat Cameroon’s 200m record in 20″16 seconds.

According to reports, he beat Cameroon’s 100m record in 10.8 seconds, at the just-ended Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The event which was initially to take place in 2021 was moved to 2022 to avoid a clash with the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
