Eto'o, Sacha and Song

One of Cameroon’s lost talents, long courted by Samuel Eto’o Fils and Rigobert Song, Sacha Boey has finally revealed why he snubbed representing the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
Shacha Boey has said in an interview “Cameroon is my country of origin, but I do not feel close enough to represent it. I’d have to know the country, the culture, it’s not just about the football…”
He also insisted that it made no sense to fight for a fatherland which he had no emotional connection with. “If we talk about fighting for the fatherland, then one has to know why,” he justified.
The Franco-Cameroonian talent, currently playing for Galatasaray in Turkey, has chosen to honour the French team call-up. He had long been courted by Coach Rigobert Song and Samuel Eto’o who tried in vain to convince him to switch allegiance to and play for the Lions.
