Cameroon: Lawyer murdered in Douala residence

A Lawyer whose name we got as Victor Samuel DIBOMA has been murdered in his residence at the SIC neighborhood, in Douala, Littoral Region of Cameroon.

Local reports say, the lawyer and member of the Cameroon Bar Association was found dead at his home early today, January 3rd, 2023.

“He was killed during an attack at his residence at about 2 a.m.” a source told MMI without any information on the identity of his killers.

“Nothing yet filters on the motives or the alleged perpetrators of this assassination,” added our source.

Other sources told MMI that Barrister Samuel Diboma was killed and dumped by the roadside.

The Bar Council has not yet reacted.

Speaking to MMI on Tuesday evening, one of his Douala-based colleagues, Barrister Tamfu Richard said: “He was stabbed by some unidentified men and later died when he was rushed to the hospital at Laquintini.”

Samuel DIBOMA was a former student of the Comprehensive High School Bonaberi in the Douala IV municipality.

He equally studied law at the University of Douala before becoming a lawyer.

Authorities in Douala have opened investigations.
