Cameroon News Agency admitted into Africa Link Union.

Cameroon News Agency (CNA), a prominent independent online news outlet focusing on Cameroon and Africa, has recently achieved a significant milestone by being granted full membership in the Africa Link Union (ALU).

This recognition further solidifies CNA’s position as a reputable news source within the African media landscape.

ALU, a China-Africa media partnership, has been established to foster collaboration and enhance communication between the two regions.

The Executive Editor of CNA, Nfor Hanson Nchanji, participated in a follow-up meeting held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including the Director of CCTV+, to discuss strategic initiatives.

“Cameroon News Agency has opened its doors to new partners, and we hope that it will boost our coverage and ameliorate our international and media relations with Africa and China,” he said.

The meeting, which aimed to foster collaboration and exchange ideas, was organised as a follow-up to previous discussions. Nchanji played an active role in the proceedings, contributing valuable insights and perspectives.

“We signed this partnership a few months ago, this physical event was to confirm our commitment.,” Nchanji said.

By coming together in Johannesburg, the participants sought to strengthen their working relationship and explore potential avenues for cooperation. As part of the discussions, the attendees delved into various topics of mutual interest, including the evolving landscape of media and the challenges faced by the industry. The meeting served as a platform for sharing experiences and best practices, with the aim of enhancing the quality and reach of their respective news organizations.

Nfor Nchanji’s presence at the meeting underscored CNA’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and staying at the forefront of global news coverage.

Speaking after committing to the partnership agreement, Nfor Hanson Nchanji, editor and promoter of CNA, expressed optimism, saying that its doors are wide open to other partners.

The Johannesburg meeting, according to the news outlet, is taking place on the sidelines of the BRICS summit to be held next week in South Africa.
