A Court in Switzerland has imposed a fine on six members of President Paul Biya’s security team, MMI has gathered.
They were slammed with financial fines for assaulting a journalist in 2019.
The Geneva Police Court handed down the fines on December 16, 2022.
Adrien Krause, a reporter for Radio-Television Swiss, was attacked by the security men while covering an anti-Biya demonstration staged by Brigade Anti-Sadinard, (BAS) at a hotel in Geneva where the president of Cameroon was lodging for a private stay.
The journalist had his equipment seized by the attackers.
MMI learned that Journalist Adrien filed a complaint with the Geneva Police Court against the Cameroon presidential guards.
It should be recalled that the same court had in 2019 sentenced the same presidential guards to three months suspended sentences for coercion and illegitimate appropriation of an object.
