Cameroon: Training for Municipal Police Officers Launched

The Director-General of the National School of Local Administration (NASLA), Tanyitiku E. Bayee, has signed a call for applications as well as a statement related to the launch of training for municipal police officers in the municipalities in Cameroon.

This came after the Minister of Decentralisation and Local Development, (MINDDEVEL), approved the deliberations on the creation of such services.

These council areas are therefore invited to familiarise themselves with the terms of this call for applications and the related statement in order to best organise the training of individuals working in these services.

MINDDEVEL has invited councils wishing to have a municipal police service to comply with the applicable regulatory provisions. It encourages them to approach #NASLA and the competent services of its ministerial department for any information related to this matter.

Finally, it relies on the understanding and responsibility of all to ensure that peace and good order remain in our cities.
