Cameroon Volleyball Federation refutes allegations of sexual misconduct

The Cameroon Volleyball Federation (Fecavolley) has denied allegations of mass sexual misconduct involving some individuals of the federation and players.

There have been widespread allegations on social media that some female volleyball players under the age of 18 were being impregnated by some workers of the federation.

“The Cameroon Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY) informs the sporting public that an ‘OFFICIAL COMPLAINT’ has been filed with the ‘COMPETENT AUTHORITIES’ to shed light on all the facts of sexual abuse relayed by social networks,” a communiqué, signed by Christian Tchapmi stated.

However, the association has called on victims and witnesses to come forward if any misconduct occurs.

“Acts of denunciation are admissible every day ‘IN ANONYMOUS COVERS’ at the Headquarters of the Cameroonian Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY) in the Dragage district in Yaounde,” it said.

“The Cameroonian Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY) denounces all individuals with already known faces (residing in Cameroon, France, Belgium, and the American continent) who have chosen the field of social networks (such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and others) to tarnish without proof of the notoriety of the ‘federation’ institution as well as the honour and respectability of its leaders.

“The Cameroon Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY) would like to reiterate to all these individuals that the Federation has no money to pay to the Mastersingers and will not give in to any pressure,” the communique stated.
