Barely months after its release in 2020, Fisherman’s Diary has been nominated for five awards at the Paris Arts and Movie Awards, PAMA.
The categories included
Best Production: The Fisherman’s Diary; Best Actor : Kang Quintus; Best soundtrack: ‘Abeg’ by Ewube; Best Feature Film: The Fisherman’s Diary; and Best Director : Enah JohnScott.
The movie which was released last year, captures the struggles of a female teenager, Ekah, to undertake education in a society where education is considered a taboo for a girl child.
Her drive to break this old adage gets her embroiled with her father, Solomon’s past.
The film features prominent Cameroonian actors such as Kang Quintus, Faith Fidel, Cosson Chinepoh and Ndano Tramanse.
