Cameroonian musician Locko certified Single D’or in France

Cameroonian musician Charles Arthur Locko Samba, popularly known as Locko, has attained the prestigious Single D’Or certification in France, marking a significant milestone in his career.

The accolade is attributed to Locko’s enchanting song “All for U,” released in June 2022, featuring King Senerity and Sergio Alejandro.

The announcement of this remarkable feat was made by the renowned artist on his official Facebook page, where he expressed his elation that his childhood dream had been realized.

“The first Single D’or of my career, a childhood dream that came true… The title All For You in collaboration with King Serenity and Sergio Alejandro, is now certified Single D’or in France,” Locko said.

Locko thanked his fans and supporters “who participated directly or indirectly in this magnificent project.”

The announcement resonated positively among Cameroonians, with many expressing their admiration for the artist’s well-deserved win.

One fan on Facebook exclaimed, “When we say Artist, Locko comes to mind first. You’re the best bro.”

This achievement holds particular significance as it signifies Locko’s entry into the echelons of African artists who have left an indelible mark in Europe.

According to BBM, the Single D’or is a magnificent victory for Locko, especially considering that “many African artists have not had a record in Europe.”

The Single D’or is conferred upon a song that has been listened to more than 10 million times, and in the case of Locko’s “All for U,” the numbers reached an impressive 15 million streams and listens.

This not only reflects Locko’s musical prowess but also underscores the global appeal and resonance of his work.

Hailing from Cameroon, Locko is a multifaceted artist renowned for his contributions to RnB and Afropop genres.

His journey to fame began with a series of cover performances on YouTube, showcasing his exceptional vocal talent.

In 2014, the 31-year-old joined the Big Dreams Entertainment label and collaborated with Cameroonian singer Numerica on his first song, “Perfect Girl.”

Today, Charles Arthur Locko stands tall as one of the most captivating voices not only in Cameroon but across French-speaking Africa.

His Single D’Or certification is not just a personal triumph but a testament to the global resonance of African music and the undeniable talent that Locko brings to the international stage.
