Unconfirmed reports coming from Cameroon’s southern neighbour Equatorial Guinea say Cameroonians amongst other foreigners in the country are being persecuted.
We are told that most of the foreigners without valid papers living in the Equatorial Guinean capital Malabo, and Bata, are being hunted down by the Guinean authorities.
A Cameroonian living in Malabo has told Mimi Mefo Info that most Cameroonians in Equatorial Guinea have locked up all of their businesses and gone into hiding from Equatorial Guinea’s police.
They say the arrested Cameroonians and other foreigners are being kept in horrible detention centers where they are being tortured.
Cameroonians in the Central African country have called on the Government of Cameroon to intervene amidst the persecution.
