Kidnapped journalist, Fame Bunyui Ayiseh released

Fame Bunyui Ayiseh has been released. According to Ines Sob Ondoa Balla, President of the Cameroon Journalists’ Trade Union South West Chapter, the journalist working with Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV Buea in the South West Region was released around midnight.

“Circumstances leading to her release are not known. I have tried calling her but her contact is switched off. Despite this, I have been reliably informed of her release,” Ines Sob Ondoa Balla stated in a telephone interview Monday, March 15th, 2021.

Fame Bunyui Ayiseh is reported to have been kidnapped Saturday, March 13 as she left her job site.

Her media organ has been mute over her kidnap and release.
