Cameroon’s female basketball team crash out of Afrobasket Women 2023.

The Female Basketball team of Cameroon were eliminated from the Afrobasket Women 2023 on Wednesday, after losing to Senegal 77-80 in the quarterfinals.

The Cameroonian team had a strong start to the game, leading by as many as 10 points in the first half. However, Senegal rallied in the second half, outscoring Cameroon 42-37.

Cameroon’s leading scorer was Marguerite Ndoumbe with 22 points. Senegal was led by Astou Traore with 27 points.

The loss is a disappointment for Cameroon, who were hoping to win their third Afrobasket title. However, they will now look to regroup and prepare for the 2023 FIBA Women’s World Championship.
