Cameroon’s iconic singer Stanley Enow shortlisted for 2024 Grammy Awards

Cameroonian rap artist Stanley Enow has been shortlisted for the “Best African Performance” category at the 66th Grammy Awards, to be held on February 4, 2024, in Los Angeles.

This pre-nomination stems from the success of his latest and most popular track, “Take Ova” which has amassed nearly 1.5 million views on YouTube in two months and is the subject of millions of challenges on TikTok.

The “Best African Performance” category is a new addition to the Grammy Awards, and it is intended to recognize and celebrate the best international artists from Africa. Enow’s nomination is a testament to his talent and his growing popularity around the world.

Enow is a rising star in the African music scene. The 38-year-old is known for his energetic live performances and his catchy rap songs. His music often blends traditional African rhythms with modern hip-hop beats.

Stanley Enow has been putting the Cameroonian flag on top since his debut with “Hein Père,” which, after its release in 2013, became a street anthem and even earned him an MTN Africa Music Award in 2014 as Best New Act. He has also earned many other award nominations.

Early this year, Stanley Enow beat several renowned African musicians to win the African Artist of the Year title at this year’s Urban Music Awards that held in the United Kingdom.

Stanley Ebai Enow is a Cameroonian rapper and music producer. He is the co-owner of the record label, Motherland Empire. Enow is best known for his 2013 single “Hein Père”. He was the first Cameroonian to win in the Best New Act category at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards.
