On Saturday, Mbacha Eric of Cameroon emerged as the winner of the Parvoo Nurmir marathon in Finland

Mbacha Eric Mangeh, an international athlete of Cameroonian descent, won the Parvoo Nurmir Marathon competition in Turku, Finland, in Europe.
Eric outperformed the competition and finished first in the race on August 19, 2023, in 2 hours, 22 minutes, and 45 seconds.
When he came to Finland more than a year ago, he last competed in the same marathon, finishing in second place. His most recent honours are his second of the year.
He also won the Helsinki marathon in Finland four times in a row, breaking the most recent record in May 2023.
Who is Mbacha Eric?
In Cameroon, Mbacha Eric Mangeh is well-known.
He has won the Mount Cameroon race of hope three times. The 39-year-old, who was born in the hamlet of Mbot in the Nkambe, Donga Mantung division of the North West region of Cameroon, won the annual Mt. Cameroon race of hope in 2011, 2014, and 2019 before moving to Europe, where he continues to succeed as a professional athlete.
