Car crash leaves MRC lawyers injured

Barristers Souop Sylvain and Temate of the MRC party are currently receiving treatment after they were involved in a car accident.

MRC spokesperson says it happened on the night of Friday, January 10 at the entrance to Bafoussam as they came in from Dschang.

After being taken to the Bafoussam Regional Hospital, they were later transferred to Yaoundé by ambulance.

Barrister Souop, the party spokesperson notes had a fractured arm and Barrister Temate had a CT scan of his skull in hospital.

The MRC spokesperson announced Barrister Souop has since stated that damage was both “limited and non-irreversible”.

Barrister Souop it should be recalled was one of lawyers in the defence team of MRC president, Maurice Kamto and his allies in court, who were jailed after the 2018 presidential elections.
