Fotang Valentine, 38, was shot and killed by soldiers Saturday, January 18, 2020 as they roofed a house in Buea.
“He had left Awing and taken up residence in Foumbot in the West Region,” a source familiar with the situation said.
Our source adds that Fotang had gone to Buea with his two workers to roof a house but was shot to death by the Cameroon military apparently suspecting that they were separatist fighters.
“His two workers succeeded to escape with bullet wounds and are receiving treatment, we have learnt.
Fotang’s mortal remains have been picked up by Awing elites in Buea and deposited at the mortuary of the Buea Regional Hospital Annex.
The deceased leaves behind his wife and children.
