Centre Region: Suspected Murderer of Traditional Ruler’s daughter, Victorine Manga, arrested

The Suspected murderer of Victorine Manga, daughter of His Majesty Jean-Marc Bessala, has been arrested by forces of law and order.

The murdered corpse of Victorine Manga was discovered on the night of May 1, 2023, in Minka, a village in the Centre region of Cameroon.

The alleged murderer is said to be Yoh Essam, the boyfriend of the deceased. He had earlier declared on social media that he had acted in self-defense.

Victorine Manga, was raped and murdered

Investigations however reveal that the young lady had been raped and killed by strangulation.

In front of the gendarmerie, the main suspect had declared that he had acted in self-defense after he discovered messages in the phone of the girl.

He said: “Last week Thursday I came home from my day job and stopped as usual at her little business place to help her pack up so we could get home together and take stock of the day. Besides, I will find for You the graft that I had just bought for her in the room where she was found. That night we made love everything was fine. 4 a.m. I got up before her to help her prepare some spaghetti and heat the water for her coffee when she asked me to put her phone on charge.”

He went on, “Unfortunately she forgot to lock her phone, taking advantage of the fact that she was not paying attention, I came across messages with men whose details I prefer to avoid. They were based on lies, anal sex, aborted pregnancy, and others. I get so angry and asked her for an explanation when an argument erupted. In anger and disappointment, I slapped her, and she took the hammer and in wanting to defend myself, I gave her a fatal blow.”

This is a far-fetched version according to investigators. Reports have it that the autopsy carried out on the remains of the young girl revealed that she had been raped and then strangled.

It equally revealed that her killer tied her mouth after inserting a piece of cloth in it before covering her body with his clothes, to prevent the smell of the rotting body from escaping.
