#CHAN2020:
Tight race in Group A as Cameroon draws against Mali

The intermediate Lions of Cameroon have pulled a one-all draw against the Eagles of Mali.

This leaves both sides with four points each in Group A.

Results of the match played at Amadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde today have tightened the race on which two teams will qualify to the second round.

Though Cameroon finished with 51% ball possession as opposed to Mali with 49%, the boys of coach Martin Ntougho Mpile had a difficult task penetrating the defense of the Eagles of Mali.

At the end of the encounter, Mousa Kyabou of Mali was crowned Man of the Match.

Results of the match has weakened hopes of some football fans in Cameroon who say they expected the host nation to secure a place in the second round by winning the match against Mali.
