Chieftaincy dispute leaves one dead, others hospitalised in West region

A chieftaincy dispute in Bangou village, Upper Plateau division of the West region has left at least one person dead and several others hospitalized , MMI can confirm.


The clash said to be between two families over the Bangou chieftaincy stool is said to have gone deadly Monday April 4.

The wounded persons are said to be responding to treatments in a health facility in the West Region while the corpse of the dead person is said to be in a morgue pending burial.


The situation is said to have improved after the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO of the Upper Plateau visited Bangou.
