“Cho Ayaba’s actions have crossed a line,” Chris Anu

Following the arrest and detention of Ayaba Cho Lucas, Cameroon’s Separatist leader in Norway, reactions have been pouring in from other members of the now fragmented movement. The movement started in 2016, and the majority of its leaders who are in the diaspora, have been fighting for an independent state called Ambazonia.

One of those diaspora leaders is Chris Anu who reacted in a video saying “Cho Ayaba’s actions have crossed a line that no leader fighting for freedom should ever cross.”

Opposing camp

Capo Daniel, who was Ayaba’s henchman before his resignation one year ago, has been celebrating, describing the arrest as justice for victims of Guzang, and Nacho shootings in the restive North West Region of Cameroon. Cho is the head of the Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC).

Cho’s ally

But Cho’s Vice President, Julius Nyih says he is now in charge of the Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC), a separatist faction of Ayaba Cho. Nyih said their independence struggle will not stop until the Yaounde government is crushed. “We have always respected international laws and conventions,” Nyih added.
