Corpses Retrieved From Yaoundé Municipal Lake

The corpses of two young boys have been retrieved from the municipal lake in Yaounde, Center region of Cameroon. The dead bodies were taken out of the lake Monday February 3.

Local sources say the two boys got drowned when they went swimming with their friends on Sunday.

“While swimming at the Yaoundé municipal lake, security officials asked them to leave the lake….but the two were stubborn and instead went further into the lake” a source told Mimi Mefo info.

Moving further into the lake, the 9 and 14 year old boys disappeared into the deeper part the source hinted further.

A search mission was immediately engaged by elements of the army rescue unit, who after many hours of search found the dead body of one of the boys late Sunday February 02, 2020.

The long and exhaustive search was later suspended, and only resumed earlier this Monday which resulted in the discovery of the last dead body
