Councils set up union to foster development in Boyo Division

Four municipalities in Boyo, North West region have constituted a pioneer bureau aimed at tackling the development challenges of the division.


The bureau known as the Boyo Councils Union is intended to source funds in order to address the needs of the people. The Boyo Councils Union has identified the acquisition of an equipment pool to solve the problems of roads as the most important project to kick start their mission.


The officials of Fundong, Njinikom, Belo, and Funfuka councils are preoccupied with the development concerns of the people.


They are determined to pull their resources together to achieve common growth in the entire Boyo division.


According to Ngong Innocent, chairman of the Boyo Councils Union, he wants the alliance to acquire an equipment pool where the four councils of Boyo can come and rent equipment and open up farm-to-market roads.


The Boyo Councils Union in this regard, adopted a budget of 520 million francs to kickstart their activities.


The union has decided to source funds from foreign bodies and other development partners to achieve its objectives.
