Court charges Stand Up For Cameroon members with insurrection, transfers them to prison


Four arrested Stand Up For Cameroon members have been transferred to the Newbell Central Prison in Douala.

During their appearance on Tuesday at the military tribunal, they were charged with revolution, insurrection, conspiracy among others.

Their arrest last Friday and detention has been described as unfair and illegal. “It happened in the absence of the lawyers, we are all in shock,” Remi Tassang, member of Stand Up For Cameroon movement wrote on twitter.
