The Cameroon Reconstruction (CR) party has endorsed Issa Tchiroma Bakary, presidential candidate of the Cameroon National Salvation Front (FSNC), as campaigns for the October 12 presidential election draw to a close.
Following a two-day meeting held in Douala over the weekend, the party executive said it carefully observed the political landscape of the country before settling on the choice of Issa Tchiroma Bakary to steer Cameroon’s affairs.
According to CR, the national, regional and international stakes are clearly spelt out, commanding a spearheaded trend that tilts completely in favour of the opposition.
“The debates showed the flagbearer among the candidates in the opposition family, the FSNC leader, who doubles as the CHOICE of the Union for Change, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, standing out distinctly as the winner of the 2025 polls,” CR National President, Chief Tsagineu Nko’zhum Fru Martin Mantohbang, said in a release.
“Coupled with his overall indispensable expertise as an engineer, a fundamental necessity for national reconstruction of the country in a phase of total decay, and associating the long, diversified engineering expertise of the CR leadership, will directly pull this country out of the seabed and start raising the standard of living nationwide,” the statement added.
Based on these, the CR asked all Cameroonians, especially its militants and sympathisers, to come out massively on October 12 and vote for the FSNC/Union for Change candidate, Issa Tchiroma Bakary.
Tchiroma has continued to gain nationwide popularity ahead of the polls on October 12.
His campaigns have seen a tremendous attendance from young people who believe he will bring change to Cameroon.
CR has become the latest political body in Cameroon to endorse Issa Tchiroma, after the MANIDEM party of Anicet Ekane.
The CR party describes itself as an offshoot of the Ntumazah-led faction of the UPC, Cameroon’s oldest political party.
