Crisis in NW, SW: Explosive device discovered in Mbengwi

Dozens have been arrested in Mbengwi in the North West of Cameroon.

A source says a local explosive was discovered along the road Tuesday, January 19th, 2020.

Irritated, the defense forces have arrested people around in a bid to get perpetrators of the act.

Some group of women have marched to the office of the mayor pleading on him to intervene and ensure the release of people arrested.

To the women, those that have been arrested are innocent.

The use of explosives by suspected separatists in the North West region is putting security forces on the alert.
