Inhabitants of Hot Spot neighbourhood in Bamenda 1 Subdivision are still in shock after the death of a young boy in a bar. He is said to have been killed after a drunk gendarme activated a hand grenade.


Calm has returned to Mulang Quarter in Bamenda II Subdivision, North West Region of Cameroon. Heavy gunshots englobed the area earlier today in what many suggest was a gun battle between soldiers and Separatist fighters in the area. Mulang is host to the Bamenda City Council, and the Army Rescue Unit.


A separatist ban on the activities of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC in Bali – North West Region has left many Christians in total confusion. The fighters have accused the PCC Moderator of failing to blame the military for the shooting of a christian and Pastor in Church. It is feared separatist fighters in other Divisions might follow suit.



Former Cameroonian Presidential election Candidate Barrister Akere Muna has condemned the recent coup in Guinea Conakry. The politician said the situation shows that Africa hasn’t learnt from history.



Following the ban on motorbikes in Bali Nyonga, North West Region by the local authorities, the SDO for Mezam is set to meet with bike riders and the Fon. The discussions are expected to center on charting a way to restore peace in the division.



Today, schools in some parts of the country started classes for the new school year. The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Manaouda Malachie implored students and teachers to respect barrier measures against Covid-19 as they have classes.
