Uneasy calm has returned to Bambui and Bambili neighbourhoods after heavy gunshots dominated the area all day. Residents say a military raid in the area this Friday provoked fire exchange between military and separatist fighters.

Traffic between Bamenda and Nkambe via Bafousam is gradually picking up after it was slowed down recently. Reports say two passengers were summarily executed by separatist fighters around Ntumbu causing fear amongst travellers.

The Government has hinted on speeding up the process for the production of National ID cards. The announcement was made by Secretary General at the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh. Several persons were reportedly killed in an accident which occured yesterday in Bayomen village, Center Region of Cameroon. The accident occured as a passenger car collided with an inter-urban transport bus.

Traditional authorities in Ndoko village in Mbalmayo have been left unimpressed after three elderly women were ex-communicated from the Catholic Church for alleged witchcraft. The authorities remain adamant that the accusations are flimsy and unfounded.

Indomitable Lions Head Coach, Antonio Conceiçao has extended his contract with the Cameroon national team. His new contract will see him take charge of the Indomitable Lions during the 2021 AFCON on home soil, and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar if Cameroon qualifies.

Anxiety has englobed the North West region as Bafut Rangers come close to picking a Division 2 qualification. They will be representing North West Region at the national interpools.
