Professor Maurice Kamto, President of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement opposition party has finally left Douala. During his stay in the town, he met with incarcerated members of his party at the New Bell Prison. During Kamto’s time in Douala, his movements were also highly monitored by security forces.


The Norwegian Refugee Council has in a recent report, revealed that over 700,000 kids in the conflict affected North West and South West Regions are victims of violence. Among others, the sport cited attacks on academic institutions, kidnapping and harassment of students of teachers as factors influencing schools to remain closed


The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Prof Narcisse Mouelle today defended a budget of 23.3 billion FCFA for 2022. Some students with disabilities in the North West Region have received didactic materials as presents for excellent academic performance. The items were handed by the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services and partner institutions in prelude to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities tomorrow.


A heavy duty truck transporting beer ran off the Bertoua-Garoua Boulai road in the East Region today. The accident is believed to have been caused by multiple potholes on the highway. No live was lost but the truck was significantly damaged.


The mortal remains of Nzimou Bertin, a Douala denizen tortured to death by the police in Douala some weeks ago has been removed from the Laquintinie Hospital Mortuary. He will be laid to rest in his native town of Babadjou, in the West Region over the weekend.


The Ebolowa Regional Hospital building will be inaugurated tomorrow Friday, December 03, 2021. The event is going to be presided over by the Prime Minister, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute.
