Two girls have been reportedly killed by the military in Bamenda today at the Ngomngham neighborhood. The two girls aged 4 and 16 were killed by rampant military bullets as the soldiers patrolled the town.


The house of the former mayor of Mamfe in the South West Region has been burnt down. It was torched by suspected separatist fighters shortly after the politician put out an audio message urging locals to kick out separatists from their communities. The separatists, he said, had committed numerous atrocities, and human rights violations.


A set of travelers along the Bamenda–Bafoussam highway today nearly lost their lives in a road accident. A 70-seater bus transporting them ran off the road at Bangante and somersaulted. No life was lost.


The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Celestine Ketcha Courtes has warned against the subleasing of social houses in Mbanga Bakoko, Douala by owners. The minister has revealed that legal action will be pursued against apartment owners who have leased off the apartments at more exorbitant prices.



The Head Coach of Cameroon’s Senior Men’s Football Team has released the final 28-man list to participate in the upcoming African Cup of Nations. Among the retained players is Clinton Njie, who has not been called up to the national team regularly since Coach Antonio Conceiçao was appointed.
