Today marks five years after security officers cracked down on Common Law Lawyers in Bamenda. The English-speaking lawyers were advocating for “the preservation of the Anglo-saxon legal system in Cameroon ” otherwise known as the common law. This led to a chain of events that later resulted in the prevailing armed conflict in Anglophone Cameroon.






An Improvised Explosive Device detonated today in a taxi around the Las Vegas Snack Bar in Buea. The explosion led to the death of the car driver who was alone in the car at the time.


Separatist fighters have flogged travellers along the. Kumba-Buea highway in Cameroon’s South West Region. They intercepted them today for traveling on Monday, which is dedicated for stay-at-home civil disobedience or Ghost Towns.


The Rector of the University of Yaoundé 1, has warned against the sharing of confidential documents on social media. Maurice Aurelien Sosso addressed his communiqué to all contracted workers of the University.


At least 180 cartons of Mackerel fish were confiscated from traffickers in the Moungo. The cargo is believed to have been illegally smuggled into Cameroon from Equatorial Guinea. The stock has been handed over to the Regional Delegation of the Ministry of Water and Energy Resources.



The Organising Committee of the African Cup of Nations Tournament, (COCAN) has called for candidates to drop their applications to volunteer during the tournament. COCAN says the application process is open to Cameroonians and foreigners as well. The deadline for application is November 18, 2021.
